Who We Are

Our Mission

Michigan Social Impact Lab aims to provide dynamic and individually tailored supervision services to Macro Social Workers, especially those pursuing licensure. We aim to learn with our clients, pairing diverse practice experience with the unique needs of those who seek supervision.

We chose our name intentionally, with the aim of including the diverse work Social Workers do and acknowledging the ever evolving nature of both our profession and learning itself. We welcome you to our lab, where your lived experience will meet ours and best practices will be centered. We will not pretend to know everything, but commit ourselves to learning alongside you with a commitment to anti-oppressive practice informing our work.

Individual Supervision

Group Supervision

Available whenever two or more clients schedules align. Group supervision is offered at the rate of $25/hour per participant.

Individual Supervision

Individual Support

While working supervised hours, at least two hours a month required to be one on on for LLMSW professionals. This is provided via video call.

Group Supervision

Group Sessions

Two of the four monthly hours required for LLMSW supervision may be acquired through group supervision. This allows the learner to benefit from diverse perspectives and is offered at a discounted rate. This is also provided via video conferencing.

Integrating Exam Content

Get Familiar with Exam Concepts

Throughout supervision, we provide content on topics included on the Advanced Generalist Exam. Talking about concepts during session breaks them down and helps start to prepare for exam completion once the required 4,000 hours of supervised practice is completed.

Real Problems, Best Practice Solutions

Use the Lab to Learn Together

No one can have all the answers, and we wont pretend to. What we promise is to bring together our expertise and research skills to find the best answer to inform your practice.
